Volunteers Needed for Various Committees and Roles

Event Planning Committee

  • Next informal in-person meeting: Wednesday, August 13th

  • Volunteers needed to plan the event:

    • Choose location, date, and time

    • Send invitations and confirm attendance numbers

    • Budget management for food (funding provided)

Work Out of Class Experts

  • Volunteers to:

    • Read contracts and King County policies

    • Assist members who need to file documentation

    • Coordinate with Victor for support and guidance

Grievance Committee

  • Volunteers to:

    • Become experts by studying contracts and King County policies

    • Help represent members in grievance matters

Field Lead Void / Missing PDMC/PS4 Classification Committee

  • Volunteers to:

    • Gather ideas from members

    • Prepare 2-3 proposals addressing classification issues

New Member Committee

  • Volunteers to:

    • Read contracts and county policies

    • Support new members needing assistance

    • Work with Victor to guide members through processes

Site Lead Coordinator

  • Volunteer to assign and support a site lead at each district

Union Board Coordinator

  • Volunteer to:

    • Determine essential materials for union boards in each shop (Weingarten rights, classification info, contract summaries, contact info, meeting schedules, etc.)

    • Collect and distribute these materials

    • Follow up with shops to ensure boards are maintained

Meeting Attendance Coordinator

  • Volunteer to encourage and organize member attendance at union meetings

Bylaws Committee

  • Several volunteers needed to review and update union bylaws
